ABSTRACT:
Metro operators aim to transport passengers safely and on-time. To achieve this, they must prevent any mistake or failure that may impact traffic flow or the passengers' safety. Metro staff have to intervene to prevent anti-social behaviour as well as considering increased terrorist threats, which contribute to passenger feelings of insecurity. Next generation networks are a key enabler of an effective end-to-end security solution. Preventing disruptive elements is both a public duty and a key business requirement to entice passengers and generate the associated revenues.
