The case for (or against) text messaging

Format:  Audio
Type:  Podcast

ABSTRACT:

Texting isn't just something your kids do. In fact, Short Message Service (SMS), more commonly known as text messaging, is increasing in popularity within midmarket organizations and becoming the collaboration tool of choice among co-workers. But while it's less expensive that mobile email, it does have limitations (such as length of message). Regardless, SMS is something midmarket CIOs should be leveraging, not banning. This podcast will examine the pros and cons of instant messaging, including costs, policies and available services.
