ABSTRACT:
Recommendations for Setting up new boundaries and control points are as follows:
- Assess the current IT architecture and identify opportunities for aggregating assets into defensible data centers
- Infrastructure services also have to be protected within a secure data center zone
- Establish a defensive boundary at the data center "edge"
- Segregate critical systems into secure subzones within larger data centers
- Choose a control mechanism to enforce access policies at each security zone boundary
