ABSTRACT:
The Cast Iron Integration Appliance is a rapid way to solve application integration problems. Many organizations find that integration is a significant business challenge - needed because applications must communicate with one another, but usually requiring expensive resources to implement and then manage on an ongoing basis. Where Cast Iron adds value is in rapid set-up, simple configuration and easy ongoing maintenance delivered by a purpose-built device that includes easy-to-use configuration tools and remote management capabilities. It may be less appropriate for complex business processes that require significant human interaction - it is best suited for application-to-application integration with reasonably sophisticated data mapping and enrichment capabilities.
