Working with Univa UD and Sumisho Computer Systems, NTT West developed the ‘Hikarigrid' or fibre-grid service offering. This offering harnesses the vastly underutilized compute capacity of NTT's overall broadband user community and offers this capacity as a service to NTT business clients. Hikari-grid is managed by Univa UD's Service One software solution which provides the engine and management software needed to link NTT West's two customer groups.
