ABSTRACT:
StarShip parcel shipping software is a client/server application that allows businesses to package and ship parcel/cartons via FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL, and some LTL carriers.
StarShip integration enables companies to not only pack but also ship packages/cartons at the same time. When packing of goods is completed in Microsoft Dynamics AX, merchandise information, such as the carton size and destination, are fed to StarShip directly which eliminates the need to re-enter data.
The StarShip Integration includes the following features:
- Written in .Net 2.0 and StarShip's Component Object Model (COM) interface
- Allows Microsoft Dynamics AX to automatically send the package/carton, delivery mode, address, and other shipment related information to StarShip for processing
- Allows StarShip to send shipment charge, weight, tracking number, and other shipment related information back to Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Enables automatic printout of shipping labels for each package/carton
- Allows users to review shipment information in StarShip interface before shipping a package/carton
- Installed on the client machine that functions as the packaging/shipping station.
