ABSTRACT:
Effective and efficient IT operations are the "table stakes" for IT-business groups' relationships - they're taken for granted by user groups but are glaring when absent. Best practice organizations exhibit a common set of attributes, driven by a focus on services, costs, change management, customer relationships, and staff development. Management at these organizations are familiar with best practices employed by similar organizations and have adopted the ones appropriate for their own. All IT operations organizations should evaluate themselves and answer these questions to see how they measure up.
