In this role, Wechsler is responsible for the architecture of the new Intel® Core™ Duo processor, the upcoming processor code named "Merom," and the architecture development of other next-generation CPUs. Previously, Wechsler served as manager for the IDC AV, responsible for the validation of the P55C. Wechsler joined Intel in 1989 as a design engineer for i860.
