Ross Altman is the CTO, Business Integration Platforms at Sun Microsystems. In this role, he focuses on the direction, development and communication of the Sun Business Integration Division's technology vision and strategy. As an acknowledged expert in the implementation of integration technology, Altman has deep expertise in the development of strategic approaches to transforming dozens of legacy and packaged applications into a coherent network of interactive systems. Prior to Sun, Altman was a vice president and research director with Gartner, where his research focused on the use of integration middleware to support composite applications, straight-through processing and business process management. He was also the first to publish quantitative research regarding the return on investment that can be realized by using integration middleware to support development projects.
Director, Professional Services Delivery - Software Practice
Arun Shrestha leads Sun's Software Professional Services Practice. Mr. Shrestha and his team are responsible for assisting customers with their SOA and Business Integration initiatives. He has over 15 years of IT services experience working for companies such as Sun Microsystems, SeeBeyond Technology Corp, Computer Sciences Corporation, Harbinger and Premenos Corporation. Mr. Shrestha is responsible for developing and delivering Sun's SOA best practices. His team is dedicated to standardizing the implementation methodology to accelerate deployment of Sun's SOA platform. His contribution includes building composite business framework with industry or process specific solution templates resulting in rapid and repeatable SOA deployment for enterprises. He has been instrumental in defining and delivering Sun's SOA Center of Excellence offering that takes a balanced 4Ps (People, Process, Practice, and Platform) approach for customer success.
