ABSTRACT:
Converged services are being deployed extensively in enterprises to take advantage of the advances in IP-based voice, data and video service offerings. Rich collaborative environments and applications enable users to utilize and manage voice, data and video on a common IP-based network.
Nortel demonstrated QoS and resiliency characteristics, plus the end-point performance essential for delivering enterprise-class converged services. To illustrate these capabilities, engineers constructed a multi-path, multi-switch network to simulate a multi-site network with link-node- and site-level redundancy with a square-mesh resilient network of core switches, which was used to run converged services - voice, data and video.
