ABSTRACT:
The most challenging issues for application security in the Lotus Notes environment revolve around enterprise level insight, enforcement and management reporting. It is virtually impossible to resolve these issues automatically using native Notes features, and the cost of doing this manually is enormous.
To create a credible, compliant enterprise level application security framework, the robust low level security features on Notes must be complemented with additional systems. These systems must automatically and flexibly analyze security settings, facilitate enterprise wide system updates and automatically enforced the desired settings.
This white paper will explore the security challenges facing Notes applications and the steps to take to improve application security to meet audit requirements.
