An essential component of enterprise Wireless Intrusion Protection Systems (WIPS) is the ability to enforce corporate security policies and defend mobile wireless clients from attacks that happen outside the secure enterprise perimeter. This paper addresses some of the rising wireless threats that could compromise a wireless device at hotspots, airports, hotels and other public access networks and describes the AirDefense Personal monitoring and policy enforcement technology that can provide comprehensive protection for the modern mobile workforce.
