ABSTRACT:
For years storage folks have worried little about the security side of the house. But, the recent rash of visible breaches, combined with ongoing regulatory compliance pressure, has forced storage professionals to pay attention to information security. The question remains: What should storage managers do to protect critical storage assets and corporate information without breaking the bank or disrupting operations?
Jon will look at several examples of organizations that have implemented various security technologies to determine what problems were solved, what tradeoffs were made and how security investments were justified to upper management. The ultimate goal of this presentation is to provide users with an actionable plan to discover storage security vulnerabilities and implement the right protective countermeasures.
