ABSTRACT:
No matter what industry you are in, change is inevitable. How you adapt to change can be critical to the success of your business and technology objectives. The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), the largest futures exchange in the U.S., recently moved from local storage to SAN and now to a tiered storage architecture. This session will examine how the CME took charge of unpredictable growth, data center requirements, regulation, performance, disaster recovery and capacity planning by reshaping its backups. Attendees will learn how starting with backup leads the way to a tiered storage architecture that meets the needs of today, and future growth.
