ABSTRACT:
Guests at Hilton’s opulent Waldorf-Astoria hotel expect more than a room, they expect to be pampered. To ensure its guests enjoy first-class service from the moment they pass through the doors, management of the landmark New York City hotel recently implemented a mobile registration system featuring Zebra Cameo PEP™ mobile printers. Because the application is relatively new, the Waldorf cannot yet fully quantify its benefits and ROI. Doug Gehret, director of front office operations, points out that the Zebra printers and wearable computer provided an immediate cost savings compared to constructing new check-in counters. The system is on target to meet its goals and has been well received by Waldorf-Astoria guests.
