Proxim Corporation, a global leader in wireless networking equipment for Wi-Fi and broadband wireless networks, today announced new broadband wireless solutions that will enable wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), municipalities, government agencies, public safety and transportation organizations, and enterprises to deploy WiMAX applications today, while ensuring a smooth migration to WiMAX Forum Certified status in the future.
The Tsunami MP.11 Model 5054-R is a significant new addition to Proxim's family of Tsunami point-to-multipoint Broadband Wireless Access Systems (BWA), which, along with Proxim's unique Tsunami BWA Software Platform, allows customers to implement WiMAX applications such as public safety, security and surveillance, last mile access and metropolitan area networking now, while providing an upgrade path to WiMAX Forum Certified status later.
