ABSTRACT:
Broadcom's RAIDCore BC4000 Series RAID controllers set a new price/performance benchmark for enterprise-class RAID technology. The BC4452 and BC4852 SATA-based host bus adapters provide a wide range of businesses with a high level of data protection, reliability, and I/O throughput that previously were unaffordable for many. Implemented with the controllers, Broadcom's XelCore(tm) RAID software delivers SCSI-class RAID features like online capacity expansion, online RAID level migration, distributed sparing, split mirroring, and controller spanning, all without the complexity and cost of high-end RAID systems.
