The FlightApex is the highest capacity optical wireless product available on the market, with full-duplex speed of 2.5 gigabits. Developed by LightPointe at the request of service provider customers, FlightApex utilizes Multi-Beam Array Tracking (MBAT) and redundant beams that deliver 16x the power of a single Tx/Rx optical wireless product. The FlightApex also features Automatic Power Control (APC) to increase performance during inclement atmospherics and reduce weather visibility. The FlightApex is rated at more than 1,000 meters in light rain or light haze conditions, and at 400 meters in moderate fog or monsoon conditions. Optimal for metro ring closures, ultra high-bandwidth access and redundancy, the FlightApex is installed for SONET, SDH and ATM service provider networks.
