Wireless & Mobile Solutions (WMS) debuts SOPRANO's wireless content blocking technology known as SOPRANO MobileNanny™, which was just announced at 3GSM World Congress, under the name of WMBlocker™ in the US, Canada and Mexico.
SOPRANO MobileNanny™/WMBlocker™ enables Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to provide fine-grained opt-in access control services to their customers, supporting a range of applications including restricting access to certain content categories (e.g. adult, violence, gambling), blocking SPAM, and blocking access to un-moderated mobile chat services. SOPRANO MobileNanny™/WMBlocker™ access-control capabilities cover all major content types, in both "push" and "pull" directions - SMS, Premium SMS, MMS, WAP, Java / Brew downloads, video and HTTP. This service is also compatible with both GSM and CDMA networks. |
