ABSTRACT:
Incumbent and alternative carriers are searching for ways to provide high quality voice, data and other services to customers at competitive prices, without investing enormous amounts of money in new infrastructure. In particular, finding new ways of providing services to a large market of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is a necessity for competing in today's telecom marketplace. Integrated access devices (IADs) enable carriers to offer several revenue-generating services using existing ATM networks and DSLAMs.
