Quantum MetaConsole is a technology that enables a single client module to work with multiple management consoles on multiple operating system platforms. In addition, Quantum MetaConsole-J permits a Java-enabled Web browser to function as a monitoring and management console for multiple Quantum storage system devices.

Quantum MetaConsole is a software product that installs on Windows, Solaris, HP-UX or Linux computer systems attached to an administrative (LAN) network. The underlying MetaConsole server and client applications provide the same core set of functions for any management console environment. MetaConsole application modules specific to a supported SRM console package, conform to that particular console's look and feel, and leverage functions unique to that console.
