ABSTRACT:
iPass Inc. announced today the release of its iPass Wi-Fi Roaming Services line for service providers such as carriers, mobile operators and wireless ISPs looking to create or enhance a Wi-Fi service. This new offering leverages the core technologies used to build the iPass virtual network for enterprise connectivity, including its Global Broadband Roaming (GBR) footprint that brings disparate Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks into a single broadband offering, and its time-tested transaction clearing capabilities. iPass further announces that Sprint is using iPass Wi-Fi Roaming Service to help enable its PCS Wi-Fi Access service offering also announced last week.

Since 1996, iPass has been weaving together disparate networks into a single seamless virtual network, delivering industry-leading connectivity services to enterprises, carriers, and ISPs. iPass considers iPass Wi-Fi Roaming Services to be a natural evolution of the company's existing capabilities which can benefit service providers who see the business requirement to offer Wi-Fi connectivity to their customers.
