The Seven Attributes of a Successful IP-VPN
In recent years, the IP-Virtual Private Network (IP-VPN) has emerged as one of the most robust and high-growth technology categories in the enterprise market space. IP- VPNs are cost-effective, secure, and flexible solutions to a wide range of networking requirements. Their reliance on the ubiquitous IP protocol makes these networks increasingly popular for deployment in commercial applications.
The purpose of this paper is to provide enterprise buyers of IP-VPNs with a description of the most important attributes of these networks and help them make better-informed IP-VPN choices. Criteria are examined for both Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) and network-based configurations.
