ABSTRACT:
Incognito Software today announced the availability of Name Commander – a carrier-class domain name system (DNS) management solution. Also announced is the successful deployment of this solution at BT, managing its UK based domain name services, which includes the top three reverse nameservers in Europe.
BT selected and implemented Incognito’s Name Commander to manage its internal and external customer DNS requirements and will be using it to manage over 4 million DNS resource records. “We evaluated a large number of products on the market. Name Commander had the potential to scale to the telco-sized capacity that we needed,” said Steve Graham, IP Applications Manager at BT. “The realistic pricing of the license was very attractive. Additionally the published Application Programming Interface (API) meant that BT Group could integrate Name Commander seamlessly into our systems architecture.”
