Product Description
The RM7000 is a highly integrated symmetric superscalar microprocessor capable of issuing two instructions each processor cycle. It has two high performance 64-bit integer units as well as a high-throughput, fully pipelined double precision floating-point unit. To keep the execution units operating efficiently, the RM7000 supports a three level cache architecture. The two 16KB primary caches and a 256KB second level cache are integrated onto the RM7000. The optional third level cache is controlled through an on-chip cache controller. The RM7000 is fully compatible with the RM5200-series processors.
The RM7000 is ideally suited for high end embedded applications such as internetworking, high-performance image manipulation and high complexity printing.
