Product Description
Logitek's Audio Engine is a versatile, expandable audio crosspoint router. Any digital or analog input may be routed to any digital or analog output. AES inputs may be output as a stereo pair or two mono outputs. Plus, unlike many audio routers, the Audio Engine allows you to mix and sum sources to outputs. For example, you can combine public address system audio with background music on one stereo or mono output while retaining individual outputs for each input elsewhere in the router.
The Audio Engine consists of a card cage with power supply and a Communications Controller card. You customize the Engine to meet your specific needs with combinations of analog and digital I/O cards. Each analog I/O card provides 12 mono inputs and 12 mono outputs; sources may be configured as stereo pairs where desired. Each digital I/O card provides 8 stereo inputs and outputs. Digital source outputs may be individually configured as AES or S/PDIF; input source formats are automatically detected by the Audio Engine. Inputs and outputs operate independently -- inputs on any card may be assigned to any output port on the router.
