MetaTrieve is an enterprise-wide search engine and query tool for relational databases. MetaTrieve is also patent-pending, and achieves its data-discovery capability by means of a unique metadata search functionality. Basically, it works as a tool to help virtually all IT personnel and many business users - from various clerks to the CEO - find where data is located throughout the company and what the data consists of.
MetaTrieve is also a stand-alone query tool (for when you do not need to search), providing easy-to-use table selections and displays, quick SQL templates and simple column clicks for fast SQL building. MetaTrieve allows for multiple views of tables from multiple databases; in fact, views limited only by the discovery, querying and analysis needs of the user. Extending this power and flexibility, MetaTrieve also shows data relationships between tables for further tracking and querying of company information. In addition, with display and load options for Microsoft Excel and Access, MetaTrieve further enhances the total data analysis and reporting process.
